The National Catholic Education Commission’s 2016 Conference was held in Perth from June 19-22, in conjunction with Catholic Education WA. Hundreds of leaders of Catholic education in Australia and from overseas attended the event.
The conference theme was “Faith to Lead. Lead to Faith”, and the program was centred around four key educational strands: LEAD – Learning, Engagement, Accountability and Discipleship.
Bishop Christopher Saunders of Broome, Catholic author and leadership expert Chris Lowney, child health researcher Professor Donna Cross, international education expert Alma Harris and learning strategist, researcher and innovator Simon Breakspear were keynote presenters for the conference.
The Australian Catholic Superannuation & Retirement Fund and the La Salle Academy for Faith Formation and Religious Education at Australian Catholic University were the conference’s principal partners.
